Sunday in the Park with George

I’ve wanted to do a show with Raincity Theatre ever since I saw their powerful production of “Sweeney Todd” back in 2018, and now I’m smack dab in the middle of their run of “Sunday in the Park with George” and I’m happy as a clam. If you look at the painting, I’m playing the guy sitting on the far left with the cane.

Raincity Theatre’s trademark is intimacy. They do site-specific shows with small audiences sitting within spitting distance of the actors (note: please do not spit on the actors) and I think there’s something about being that close to people singing and feeling big feelings that puts people in fight-or-flight mode. As a result, people are having major emotional reactions to this show. There are stronger laughs and more people crying in the crowd than I am used to, and it’s wonderful.

Very few seats left, but if you can, SEE THIS SHOW. Get tickets HERE.

The monkey is going to do something terrible to that dog, I just know it.
