Bard on the Beach 2023

Well, here we are again at the end of another Bard on the Beach “tech-month”. Both shows have opened in the big tent: “As You Like It” & “Julius Caesar”; both great productions. But even though we’re open, we still have a few things left in the rehearsal schedule, namely the Understudy Runs—or as I like to think of them, “Bluff-Calling Rehearsals”.

I’ve spent the past three months learning six different actor tracks on this contract: Jaques, Touchstone, and Adam in “As You Like It”; the Soothsayer and two ensemble members in “Julius Caesar”. It’s been a lot of homework, but also a lot of fun, and I’ve already gotten to go on for two previews.

Both shows run until late September (you can get tickets HERE) but if you’d like to see little ol’ me play Jaques, I’m guaranteed to go on for all 5 performances of “As You Like It” from July 7th to 9th. You’ll get to see some genuine fear in my eyes, and won’t that be a treat? Come on out!

Doodles from “As You Like It”.
